Step 1: How to Prep
(Because a Little Prep Makes a Big Difference)
Exfoliate, Exfoliate and, oh yeah, Exfoliate:
Give your skin some self-love at least 24 hours before waxing. It prepares the skin by helping get rid of dead skin cells.
Keep thing clean:
Whether you’re using the Schick Hydro Silk® Sugar Wax Roller o Sugar Wax Wand, you’ll want to start with skin that’s clean and dry.
Real Talk, For SMOOTH Results:
Trim that hair down to no longer than half an inch. Oh, and a light dusting of powder? Game-changer. It helps the wax stick to your skin better.
Quick heads-up: If you’re using retinoids or peels, hit pause at least a week before you wax. Your skin will thank you for dodging extra sensitivity! Same goes for a few days after waxing; let your skin chill and recover.
Consider applying a little ice where you need to for a few minutes right before you wax. It’ll help numb things a bit and make the job way more manageable, especially if you have more delicate skin.
