Step 1: How to Prep

(Because a Little Prep Makes a Big Difference)

Exfoliate, Exfoliate and, oh yeah, Exfoliate:

Give your skin some self-love at least 24 hours before waxing. It prepares the skin by helping get rid of dead skin cells.

Keep thing clean:

Whether you’re using the Schick Hydro Silk® Sugar Wax Roller o Sugar Wax Wand, you’ll want to start with skin that’s clean and dry.

Real Talk, For SMOOTH Results:

Trim that hair down to no longer than half an inch. Oh, and a light dusting of powder? Game-changer. It helps the wax stick to your skin better.

Quick heads-up: If you’re using retinoids or peels, hit pause at least a week before you wax. Your skin will thank you for dodging extra sensitivity! Same goes for a few days after waxing; let your skin chill and recover.

Consider applying a little ice where you need to for a few minutes right before you wax. It’ll help numb things a bit and make the job way more manageable, especially if you have more delicate skin.

Step 2: Get Wax Ready

The Easy Way

First Things First:

when using the Schick Hydro Silk® Sugar Wax Roller take off the protective cover and the film from the roller head. Screw it back on tightly. Nobody needs a wax leak!

Pop that roller on the edge of your microwave turntable (not the center) and heat for 20 seconds.

Give the wax roller a shake-shake-shake! You want the wax to be smooth like honey (not too runny, not too thick). If it’s not there yet, zap it in 5-second bursts to avoid overheating.

Real Talk, For SMOOTH Results:

Always do a quick wrist patch test. If it’s giving “ouch, too hot,” vibes, let it cool a little.

If the wax looks watery, it’s too hot. Let it chill before it touches your skin.

Doing your brows, lip, or other delicate spots? The Schick Hydro Silk® Sugar Wax Wand with the precision tip is magic. In a glass of hot water (not boiling), stick the sugar wax wand with the cap on for 2 minutes (do not use the microwave, that’s only for the Schick Hydro Silk® Sugar Wax Roller!).

Step 3: Wax Application

- Let's Roll, Baby

Just Let it Glide:

Use the Schick Hydro Silk® Sugar Wax Roller to roll a thin, even layer of wax onto your skin in the direction of hair growth. Don’t squeeze the bottle. Just let it glide nice and slow.

You should still be able to see your hair through the wax. A light layer = happy skin.

Place and smooth a reusable waxing strip over the wax, press it down (same direction), and give it a little love with a 2-3 second massage.

Real Talk, For SMOOTH Results:

Between rolls, rest the wax roller face-down on the clear cap. Keeps the drips away and saves your bathroom counter.

Throw down an old towel on your counter—it’s like a wax safety net.

Good lighting is your bestie here. Hair growth direction and missed spots? Bright lights will keep it real.

Slide4

Step 4: Removing Hair

AKA The Big Rip

Get a Grip:

Hold your skin super taut with one hand.

With the other, take a deep breath and pull that strip off like you mean it—fast and low to the skin, against the hair growth.

Wax cooling off? Dunk the Schick Hydro Silk® Sugar Wax Roller upright in warm water for a few moments and keep it moving.

Real Talk, For SMOOTH Results:

Not gonna lie—waxing can sting—but here’s a trick: deep breath in, pull fast, and place your hand on the spot to calm the sting after pulling off the reusable strip. It’s weirdly soothing.

Waxing smaller sections is the way to go, especially if you’re new. Slow and steady helps you keep track of what you’ve waxed and what you haven’t.

Stubborn hair? Apply wax in the opposite direction next time. Not all hair follows the rules.

For waxing smaller areas like your brows, map it out with the Schick Hydro Silk® Sugar Wax Wand with precision tip! Place tiny dots of wax first, then connect ‘em with a thicker layer.

Step 5: The After Math

- Keep it Smooth

Time to Pamper Your Skin:

Rinse off with warm water, then pamper your skin with the post wax soothing serum in the box.

Oh, and those strips? They’re reusable! Rinse in warm water, let them air dry.

Real Talk, For SMOOTH Results:

Keep your fresh-waxed skin out of the sun for 24 hours. Red, irritated skin is not cool.

If it’s not perfect on your first go, don’t sweat it. Practice makes smooth, and you’ll be a total pro in no time.

Store that Schick Hydro Silk® Sugar Wax Roller upright with the cap on. Leaky wax is not the kind of surprise you want in your drawer.
